Socialization

Both the Logansport and Winamac Facilities have an Activities or Recreation Committee and a Consumer Council. These groups were established to provide activities for men and women with developmental disabilities. The activities can be in-house or in the community.

Activities include Special Olympics sports such as bowling, basketball, baseball, track and field, horseshoes, swimming, and other activities.

Annually, the groups sponsor dances, holiday parties, and recreational or educational field trips.

Funding

Funding comes from several sources, including:

• Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive in both Logansport and Winamac
• Vending sales
• Designated donations
